Elon Musk Tweeted that the Starhopper 150-meter flight could be today. On August 26th around 5pm EDT, SpaceX will attempt to launch their Starship prototype, #Starhopper. The mission is to rise to an altitude of 150-meters before landing back on the pad.
The SpaceX Starhopper will be retired after the 150-meter flight test. Work will then focus on the orbital versions of the Starship. Currently, there is one orbital version in Texas and one in Florida.
Elon Musk’s presentation on the Starship has been delayed until mid-September.
Looks like @SpaceX Starhopper flight may be as soon as Monday. FAA support is much appreciated!
